A way to look for Christ, the Bible, Word of God

When we look up at the sky we may find the heavens telling of the glory of God; and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands. (Psalms 19:1) This eternal Spirit God on many occasions has spoken words for His creatures to hear and to listen at. Lots of people do not want to know about those words and do not want to take them at heart. God knows the heart and knows who are willing to look for Him. He is also prepared to come closer to those who are sincerely looking for the Divine Creator of heaven and earth. To make it possible for man to find Who created everything and what His Plan is, He offered them His Word in the form of writings on scrolls, presently available in printed and electronic form to the whole world.

The One Who said "I am the LORD your God", the Elohim Hashem Jehovah who brought His people out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, wanted them and us to have no other gods before Him or besides Him.

“to the chief Musician, A psalm of David. the heavens declare the glory of god; and the firmament showeth the work of his hands.” (Psalms 19:1 Webster)

“1 and god spoke all these words, saying, 2 I [am] the LORD thy god, who have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 3 thou shalt have no other gods before me.” (Exodus 20:1-3 Webster)

We are given a helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (Ephesians 6:17) and which we can ignore or take it as it comes to us or like certain men, theologians or churches wants us to believe what is written there in that book of books, the bible. Lots of human thinking and man's doctrines entered the church teachings, but it is up to man to decide what he wants to believe, the Word of God or the doctrinal teaching of man.

The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob who is also the God of Jesus and the God of Jesus his apostles has guided His men, the send ones, to bring not their own words but to bring the Word of God. This eternal being, Who has no beginning (no birth) and no end (cannot die), has also send His only begotten beloved son, who has given his disciples understanding so that they knew and so that we may know Him who is true; and so that we may come in him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. So that we may know Who is the True God and who or what is eternal life. (1 John 5:20)

Jesus showed his followers Who they should praise, the Only One Who is Worthy to be our God and Whose Will we should also try to do like Jesus did not his own will but the Will of this heavenly Father, the Only One God, Who is the greatest of all. (John 4:23,24; John 14:27-31; John 5.17-27; Psalm 143:10; Matthew 6:10; Luke 22.42; John 5:30)

“thy kingdom come. thy will be done on earth as [it is] in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10 Webster)

“saying, father, if thou art willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine be done.” (Luke 22:42 Webster)

“I can of my own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not my own will, but the will of the father who hath sent me.” (John 5:30 Webster)

This heavenly Father of Jesus we should look for and give Him glory, honor and power; for He created all things, and because of His will we exist. (Revelation 4:11)

First that Spiritual Being did not make Himself known to the people, but later in history He clearly told them Who He was and what He wanted from them. The El Shaddai YHWH, Jehovah is the One Who is and the One Who makes.

“and we know that the son of god hath come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, [even] in his son Jesus Christ. this is the true god, and eternal life.” (1 John 5:20 Webster)

“thou art worthy, O lord, to receive glory, and honor, and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” (Revelation 4:11 Webster)

“2 and god spoke to Moses, and said to him, I [am] the LORD: 3 and I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, by [the name of] god Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.” (Exodus 6:2-3 Webster)

Many people may ask "Who is God" and ’What does God know?" (Job 22:13-14) He knows everything and nothing can be hidden for Him.

but the LORD said to Samuel, look not on his countenance, or on the hight of his stature; because I have refused him: for [the LORD seeth] not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7 Webster)

“I the LORD search the heart, [I] try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, [and] according to the fruit of his doings.” (Jeremiah 17:10 Webster)

Therefore we better not fake our true feelings and searchings. We best go looking sincerely for the truth in the Holy Scriptures, the Word of God, the Bible which is available to the world in many languages.

We only have to give an ear to God and we will hear Him speaking. But to the wicked God says, "What right have you to tell of My statutes And to take My covenant in your mouth? "For you hate discipline, And you cast My words behind you.” (Psalms 50:7-17)

We should come to see that God gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the set apart ones, the ones who are willing to follow his most precious send one, the only begotten son of God, Jesus Christ. Those who want to follow this master teacher should take his words at heart and get themselves ready for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. Or true knowledge so that as a result, we shall no longer to be like children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; so that we will no longer be with regard to the scheming of deceit.

“11 and he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the son of god, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: 14 that we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, [and] cunning craftiness, by which they lie in wait to deceive:” (Ephesians 4:11-14 Webster)

With the Bible we have the testimony of God, which may be for many a mystery (1 Corinthians 2:1). But just as it is written, "things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and which have not entered the heart of man, all that God has prepared for those who love him." (1 Corinthians 2:9-10) By reading the Bible, taking time for it, studying it and meditating on it you may find insight and get more wisdom. You also shall find that in it God reveals through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.

A natural or an unspiritual man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. Each person is personally responsible for the choices he want to make and what he wants to believe. He may stay a heathen or non-believer in the One True God or may prefer to have many gods. But the divine Creator of heaven and earth wants that only He is worshipped and that people keep His commandments and the commandments of His only begotten son, Jesus Christ.

By reading the Holy Scriptures people may get to know the mystery of God in Christ which has been revealed to Jesus his apostles and to the several prophets in the Spirit. By taking those words at heart and believing in Christ we may find life and being fellow heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.

“5 which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it is now revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the spirit; 6 that the gentiles should be joint-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:” (Ephesians 3:5-6 Webster)

By studying the scriptures our hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, that is, Christ himself.

“that their hearts may be comforted, being knit together in love, and to all riches of the full assurance of understanding to the acknowledgment of the mystery of god, and of the father, and of Christ;” (Colossians 2:2 Webster)

We should know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

“20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 for prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of god spoke [as they were] moved by the holy spirit.” (2 Peter 1:20-21 Webster)

All Scripture is inspired by God, God-breathed, and we should accept it as such, being the Word of the Almighty Who knows everything and everyone. It is the best way for any person to come to know what his purpose here on earth is and why he has to do certain things a certain way. The Bible is the best guide-book we can have, profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

“7 consider what I say; and the lord give thee understanding in all things. 8 remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel: 9 in which I suffer trouble, as an evil-doer, [even] to bonds; but the word of god is not bound. 10 therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.” (2 Timothy 2:7-10 Webster)

“for whatever things were written formerly, were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” (Romans 15:4 Webster)

“now all these things happened to them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.” (1 Corinthians 10:11 Webster)

“the heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.” (Proverbs 15:14 Webster)

“2 for kings, and [for] all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 for this [is] good and acceptable in the sight of god our savior; 4 who will have all men to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:2-4 Webster)

“for this cause also we thank god without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of god which ye heard from us, ye received [it] not [as] the word of men, but (as it is in truth) the word of god, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.” (1 Thessalonians 2:13 Webster)
